Ballet For Adult Beginner

Ballet is for ALL ages and all types of people, we encourage everyone to take up this wonderful dance form as a life-long hobby. Ballet is an amazing form of physical exercise, toning the muscles, and helping you find balance, strength and stamina. Our adult ballet class will begin with a ballet floor barre, excellent for correcting alignment, strength building and lengthening. Followed by barre exercises for warming up before moving into the central floor area. You will be introduced to feet and arm positions, basic steps and movements.
Remember that our bodies tend to change as we age, the class should be taken at a very gentle pace and with great respect for your body and its limitations. You should never feel pain in a joint. To prevent injury, stretch frequently and allow yourself plenty of time to warm up before class begins. Concentrate on proper form, but don't stress too much about technique. Aim to strengthen and tone your body and most of all, to have fun.
Taking part in an adult ballet class is good for your body as well as your mind. Besides promoting cardiovascular fitness and good posture, ballet is very enjoyable by people of all ages. Follow your passion and try a ballet class.
