Contemporary Dance
"Hold Me", Contemporary Dance performed by Aree School of Dance Arts, choreographed by Patrice Leroy
Contemporary Dance focuses on creative self-expression, breaks the rigid constraints of classical ballet to reach a free, fluid and pleasant movement. Contemporary dance principles include: centering, alignment, gravity, breath, contraction, release, fall and recovery, suspension, floor work, balance and off-balance, tension and relaxation. The class is challenging but relaxed with an emphasis on expression and pleasure. The students will have to go deeper into the quality of movement in order to change their usual and stereotyped gesture into a more personal movement.

Classical Ballet

Performing the ballet class is a ritual for the dancer, regardless of whether the dancer is a novice or a professional. Ballet is a very demanding discipline but remains a way of expression, which develops artistic sense and will help you to acquire grace and confidence.
